June Favorites
June is over which means it's officially my birthday month! If you think about is, July really is the best month of the year. When you're a kid, it's the only full month where you are totally completely out of school. There's the 4th of July, lots of sunshine, perfect weekends annnnnnd my birthday! July is the month for bbq food, country music, and too many sugary cocktails.

Friday Updates
Hi all!
Happy (almost) weeeekend!!! It's time for a few updates, and when better to share than on a Friday? Here we go...
Our next project is officially our decks! We have a front and a back deck that were desperately in need of a new coat of paint and a little bit of love. Scott finished painting the front deck this week and started the back. I am excited to add some out door rugs and fun décor! Out back we are doing a total overhaul, I see a new sectional in our future ;)
That's all for today... have a fantastic weekend! Next week will include some fun posts (maybe a birthday wishlist?!)...
Happy (almost) weeeekend!!! It's time for a few updates, and when better to share than on a Friday? Here we go...
1. Gone Girl - Gillian Flynn
This is book #4 for #3 on my 25 before 25 list. I started in on Wednesday and cannot put it down. That last book I read was hard to get through so I am thrilled this one is keeping my attention! Nothing better than a great book in the summer.
2. Deck Progress
Before & after painting the front - can't wait to get some colorful décor! |
3. Evening Walks
One night this week Scott took off from the gym and we went for a walk. The weather was gorgeousss and it was so nice to get some fresh air after being in the office all day. Plus, get some exercise while chatting with my hubs. We played a game where we quiz each other about random things from our childhood or life now - it's such a fun way to check in with each other!

Recipe: Teriyaki Turkey Meatballs
This recipe came together completely by accident. Scott and I were trying to figure out dinner with what whatever we had left in the house. We happened to have some ground turkey and really good teriyaki sauce I brought home from Newport. Some of these measurements are a bit of a guess, I tend not to measure too carefully when cooking - whoops! That being said, this recipe is very easy to adjust. If the mixture is too wet and the meatballs won't stick together, add more bread crumbs.
Here's what we came up with:

Review: Too-Faced Chocolate Bar Palette
I'm in love, I'm in love and I don't care who knows it! Two weeks ago I finally received my Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette. HSN had a great deal: free full size Too Faced Shadow Insurance eye shadow primer (retails for $29) with purchase of the palette (retails for $49). Plus, I had a code for $20 off. So what should have been $80 came out to $30 (shipped to my door!). I had been dying to try the palette after seeing a bunch of tutorials and reviews, so I went ahead and ordered it.

Let's Talk About Stress, Baby!
While driving home from Philadelphia, my mom, sister-in-law and I were talking about stress. My mom said that "80% of the things you worry about and stress you out, don't end up happening." When you think about it, that sounds about right to me. There are small things in everyday life that are stressful, but there are also ways to deal with them. Without further ado, here's my latest list...

Cleaning Out my Closet
Over the past few months I have been frustrated every time I try to figure out what to wear. I'll put something on, hate how it looks, and through it on my closet floor. After enough clothes pile up, I put them back on their hangers until the next time they angrily get tossed back onto the floor while I say "Ugh, I hate this shirt! I never have anything to wear!"

Weekend in Pictures: A Recital & Lots of Parties!
It's starting to feel like summer! We had a weekend full of parties... a grad party, a surprise birthday party, a birthday bbq, AND a dance recital! We were on the go all weekend but had so much fun (except for getting locked out of our house, whoops!).
Friday night was our niece's first dance recital. It was seriously the cutest thing ever and we were so happy we got to go!
